Using the Excel-based Form Builder

MasterControl's Excel-based Form Builder is an easy and intuitive way to create HTML Forms. It allows you to create forms within Excel.

You can customize the following aspects of a form with the Excel-based Form Builder:

  • Tab

  • Section

  • Columns

  • Type

  • Field Info

  • Label

  • ID

  • Alt/Title

To create a new Excel-based Form Template:

  1. Select Download Excel Form Template, from the Templates sub-men located within the Process module.

  2. Download an Excel-based Form Template from your hard drive. Click the "Enable Content" button at the top before continuing.

Note: A blank template is included to help you start creating Excel-based Forms (BlankTemplate.xlsm).

  1. Fill out the form with all the necessary information.

Note: If you include images in your Excel-based Form Template you will need to upload the images into the File Library.

  1. Select Form Preview from the Templates sub-menu located within the Process module.

  1. Load the new Excel-based Form Template you created in order to view it in the Form Preview.

To upload the form to an InfoCard:

  1. Select Template InfoCards from the Template sub-menu located within the Process module.

  2. Click New.

  3. Upload the new Excel-based Form Template as the Main File of the Template InfoCard.
